About

What Is This Blog?

This is a simple blog with a specific goal: to put others in touch with helpful quotes, books, and resources concerning Christian life and thought from a specific group of people…. today’s Christian leaders. We also hope to make this ever-growing catalogue of quotes easily searchable and citable.

Who Are We?

We are a couple of Christian guys who love God, His Bible, His church, and our Savior Jesus Christ. We want the challenge of reading books by older Christians and thinking hard about God and His Word and sharing that with you.

Who Are these Christian Leaders?

To qualify to be a so-called Christian leader one must be simply that, a Christian leader. We do not make any claims to be able to give fair amounts of effort to all Christian leaders. There will hopefully be an ever-expanding group of Christian leaders represented here, but there will be an unashamed focus on Christians such as John Piper, D.A. Carson, R.C. Sproul, Jerry Bridges, J.I. Packer, Wayne Grudem, Paul Tripp, Kevin DeYoung, John Frame, C.J. Mahaney, Phil Ryken and others as well as a few Bible commentators like Peter O’Brien and Douglas Moo. This list is by no means exhaustive.

What About the Old Guys?

Our aim with this blog is to focus only on the “new” guys or Christian leaders from today. We have another blog dedicated solely to classic quotes from many Christians from days past at The Old Guys.

Looking forward to giving it a go.

From Down Under, I notice you have a couple of names of people from outside of North America, but would love to see you add just a few extra – with similar convictions – from English speakers beyond your continent: United Kingdom, Africa, maybe even Australia.
